Frank to be Guest Speaker for Hanbury/Raleigh

Frank Harmon with shovel on building siteFrank has been asked to serve as guest speaker in Hanbury Design’s Raleigh office as part of the firm’s 2025 Hanbury Design Medalist program.

Established in 2004, the Hanbury Design Medalist program was launched to strengthen the connection between the academy and the profession, according to David Cole, AIA, principal and senior architect at Hanbury/Raleigh and a former intern at Frank Harmon Architect.

In his invitation to Frank, David wrote, “Your influence on design in North Carolina and beyond, as well as your thoughtful approach to architecture’s role in place-making and stewardship, aligns perfectly with the spirit of the Hanbury Design Medalist program. We believe your participation would spark rich conversation, inspire our team, and help us continue fostering a studio culture of continuous learning.”

Forever in Demand: Frank in Houston

FRANK HARMON, FAIA, will open the Conference facet of the “The BRIDGE,” the 85th Annual Conference & Design Expo to be held in the Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas, October 3-5, sponsored by the Texas Society of Architects. Frank’s keynote address will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Friday the 4th, with an expected 1500 in attendance. At 12:30 that afternoon, Frank will sign copies of his book “Native Places: Drawing as a Way to See” on sale in the Conference Bookstore, and bookplates for those who already own the book.
